3:16 - Minor Prophets
We’re back at it! In Summer 2024, the PEP Class (Parents Encouraging Parents) at POPLC worked through the “3:16” verses of Genesis through Daniel. During the 2025/2026 school year, we’re covering the Minor Prophets at a slower pace (less than once a month).

During the 2025/2026 school year, we’re covering the Minor Prophets at a slower pace (less than once a month). To provide a resource for anyone that misses one of the classes and wants to catch up, I created a page for the class where you can find videos and links to other resources.
The SpongeBob Musical - 2025
I'll be the first to admit: I've never had any interest in SpongeBob. So when I heard that Prince of Peace Christian School was performing The SpongeBob Musical in spring 2025, I was not particularly enthusiastic. I definitely did not realize what an amazing show it would turn out to be.

The musical tells a heart-warming story about friendship and never giving up, all with fantastic song and dance. I loved the photography for this show because it features so many colorful costumes and set pieces.
Elephant's Graveyard - 2024
Prince of Peace Christian School performed Elephant's Graveyard for the 2024 TAPPS One Act Play competition. I'll admit - this was a hard one. The story revolves around a circus visiting a small town and touches on the topics of spectacle, violence, and revenge. Any tears you see in these photos are real - every performance moved the actors so deeply that the emotions are real.

Another Very Unnecessary Play About Fairy Tales - 2024
My daughter's theatre company, [Company Title Here] Productions, produced its first two shows in the Summer of 2024. They were both one act plays, and they performed them together on the same night.
The first of these, Another Very Unnecessary Play About Fairy Tales, is a sketch comedy that really highlights how many fairy tale stories are either ridiculous or not the happy stories we're used to.

Five cast members put on these sketches using limited sets and props - the comedy is in the performance! It's a funny and enjoyable show for folks of all ages.
The Film Noir Play - 2024
My daughter's theatre company, [Company Title Here] Productions, produced its first two shows in the Summer of 2024. They were both one act plays, and they performed them together on the same night.
The second of these, The Film Noir Play, is a play in the style of film noir, where you have a gritty detective story and characters regularly break the fourth wall. The play has good guys and bad guys, crime (with lots of gun battles), and romance. What more could you ask for!

You'll notice the performers are holding scripts in these photos. The play was put together with limited rehearsals, and it was decided to perform it as a dramatic reading since it was critical to have lines delivered quickly and with the right timing.
You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown - 2024
For their 2024 Upper School Musical, Prince of Peace Christian School performed You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. This is a fun musical that explores life through the eyes of Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang.

I particularly liked the set and costumes as they really pulled you into the comic strip theme.
Mockingbird - 2023
For the 2023 TAPPS One Act Play competition, Prince of Peace Christian School performed Mockingbird. This touching play tells the story of a young autistic girl who is grappling with the loss of her brother in a shooting. Through the storytelling, we get to better appreciate how someone with autism sees the world.

For this performance the team made limited use of sets and props and instead relied on their performace to really draw us into the story. The performance was so good that the team took 1st in District and 1st in State. It is by far my favorite One Act Play...
Cinderella - 2023
In Spring 2023, Prince of Peace Christian School performed Cinderella for its Upper School Musical. The use of colors in the performer's costumes was one of my favorite parts of this show.

Chemical Imbalance - 2022
Prince of Peace Christian School performed Chemical Imbalance as part of the TAPPS One Act Play competition. Chemical imbalance is a dark comedy adaptation of the Jekyll & Hyde story, and the sets and costumes for this play (besides being really ambitious for a OAP) really enhanced the outstanding acting abilities of the team.

In addition to numerous individual awards, the school placed 1st at District and 4th at State.
Seussical - 2022
Prince of Peace Christian School performed Seussical in the Spring of 2022. This is a wonderful musical that brings the characters of Dr. Seuss to life. From a photography standpoint, this was one of my absolute favorites, because the colors of the set, lighting, and costumes were so vibrant and interesting.
